Exercise/therapy: Working long hours at a desk can wreak havoc on your body, particularly if you do not have ergonomic furniture. Try exercise and core strengthening as a routine part of your day. Stretching with yoga and strengthening with Pilates will help a lot. If the pain isn't getting better or gets worse, it is time to see your doctor.

NSAIDS: Probable facet joint disease/irritation. Use nsaids and when symptoms reduce/resolve get back to gradually increasing exercise.
