Seek medical help: Anybody with bright red blood from the rectum should seek medical attention. While possibly and likely from internal hemorrhoids, there are other more serious possibilities as well.

? amount/location ?: Kids who retain their poo cause it to dry out or get bulky.When they can no longer hold it, it can come out large/pebbly/hard and cause a scratch on the wall.That leaves a stringy bright blood line on the outside of the poo. If it is mixed well within the poo, there is something else going on.Little kids don't have hemorrhoids but they could have polyps.Time to work with a developmental peds
