Go to ER: A creatinine of 6 will mean kidney failure, or very close to it. If this is a chronic issue, and you have been seen by a nephrologist, he will probably want to start you on dialysis soon. If this is a new finding, you need to go to the er immediately, especially if your other electrolytes are abnormal; acute kidney failure can be life threatening.
