Breastfeeding: A lactation specialist should be able to provide more recommendations. However, decreased milk production can be caused by stress, inadequate fluid intake, failure of baby to empty the breast during feeding. Try to nurse your baby every 2 hours for at least 24 hours and then resume previous schedule of every 2.5 to 3 hours. Make sure there is excellent latch and baby is gaining weight.
