how long will it take the feeling to come back to a thumb if the nerve is bruised?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Adam Burkey
28 years experience Neurology
Cm per month: Nerves regrow at a centimeter a month, on average. Provided the trauma was to the thumb it should be in under three months provided the nerve was left intact and can regenerate along its prior course.
