Sprain: There are quite a few ligaments and tendons around the wrist and joints of the hand therefore any injury to this area can easily result in a sprain or damage to nerves. If it's not causing much discomfort and you have full normal strength there is less need for concern as most sprains settle down in a week or two. If the numbness persist, you need to see your doctor for examination and imaging

No: kindly see her doctor, repetitive trauma to the wrist area playing volleyball can be he cause, or may be a sprained wrist joint, the bruise and the numbness warrant evaluation, meanwhile RICE, Rest, Ice, Compresses and elevation would help, good luck
