Yes, But: The injury described is suspicious of at least, a volar plate disruption with or without collateral ligament njury. Needs to be properly evaluated by a hand surgeon. At the very least need a splint. The bruise will extend into the forearm, as the blood is absorbed and drains over a period of one month, following the tunnel of the flexor tendon.
