Cough can be Asthma.: It is common for people with asthma to cough when they have a little chest tightness. It can be brought on by exercise, laughing real hard, streaming or crying. If you give her a dose of a rescue inhaler when she is coughing and it stops her cough, then it will give you the answer. Add a controller medication if she needs to it twice/wk and let your pediatrician know. Her asthma has not gone

Cough variant : Asthma is a condition in which your airway is too sensitive; that is why it is also called reactive airway disease. Any change in the air, including pollens, molds, dust, temperature, humidity, and even barometric pressure can affect how the airway reacts; in patients with asthma, the sensitivity is higher. In patiens with asthma cough is treated like an asthma attack.
