A member asked:

Could some one tell me what flow void in cavernous carotid artery means please ?

Not much: Just google "flow voids." google says it's normal. It means the MRI isn't seeing anything inside the blood vessel, which means the blood is going through the vessel too fast for the MRI to pick it up. Which is a good thing. If the blood were sitting still in the carotid, and showed up on the mri, you would not be healthy. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120410173730aavxonf.

These are: terms used to describe MRI findings. It is normal to have flow void in the carotid arteries. The cavernous sinus is an area where draining veins converge. The carotid artery runs through the cavernous sinus.
