Maybe gallbladder?: There are many causes for right upper back pain - certainly muscle strain being the most common. But a less obvious cause could be your gallbladder. Gallbladder pain is often "referred" to the right shoulder, right upper back, or even the right armpit. There are more serious causes of upper back pain, so do consult your doctor about this problem - especially if you are having pain with breathing!
