Heart picture: When there is significant concern about the possibility of there being a blockage in the heart (coronary) arteries, then often an angiogram will be done. This not only can define damaged vessels in the heart, but can also treat them with balloons to dilate them and stents to keep blocked vessels open. It involves a needle in the groin, fishing a line up into the heart in order to find and fix.
