Insomnia treatment: Sonata (zaleplon) is a prescription medication approved for short term treatment of insomnia. It interacts with gaba-benzodiazepine receptor complexes in the brain, helping with sleep. It domes in 2 doses, 5 and 10 mg.It is contraindicated for people with history of liver disease, lung issues, depression or other psychiatric diseases and history of alcohol or drug abuse. It is not safe during pregnancy.

Definition: Zaleplon (marketed under the brand names Sonata, (zaleplon) Starnoc and Andante) is a sedative-hypnotic, almost entirely used for the management/treatment of insomnia. It is a nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic from the pyrazolopyrimidine class.

Zaleplon: Sonata (zaleplon) is a sedative-hypnotic which is used to treat insomnia. A person can often use it for as short a period as 4 hours before waking (many medications would require 8 hours).
