Doctor eval...: Clinically, the chest pain description can suggest the diagnosis but sometimes, testing is needed to determine whether or not it is due to a cardiac etiology. An ekg and/or stress test, etc. Can determine if the chest pain is due to a cardiac cause. Once this is ruled out, other etiologies, like asthma, musculoskeletal pain, etc. Can then be diagnosed. See a doctor if you have chest pain.
