Get checked: In either case you would do better to have yourself checked. If asthma a rather simple spirometry may tell all. A cradiac test would also rule out or confirm any heart problems. Don't hesitate if you feel storng about these symptoms.

Asthma : If there is no risk factors for coronary artery disease, possibly asthma. Test like spirometry and peak flow, metacholine challenge test, chest ray used to diagnosed asthma. Heart conditions can mimic an asthma specially heart failure and acute coronary syndrome. Consult a physician.
