NO: Febrile seizures just occur. Many children will have one or two during childhood and totally recover. Some will have repeated episodes over a few years then totally recover. Rare cases have one seizure then evolve into chronic epilepsy as adults. A simple seizure with fever will not damage the brain, even if they recur a few times. Prolonged and repetitive seizures are dangerous.
