A member asked:

I quit smoking a month ago. i feel like my breathing is actually worse and with more dry coughing. why might this be? when should i feel better?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Phlegm (mucous): Your lungs are starting to work again and its getting rid of all the stagnant mucous that the lungs couldn't get rid of while you were smoking. Don't use that as an excuse to start smoking again. A month is a long time keep going, you won't regret it.
