No: Pancreatitis is an acute inflammation/ injury to pancreas; under this stress beta cells in pancreas may not produce enough Insulin and you may be resistant to its action given stress of this illness. It sounds like you got over this episode, pancreas healed and now beta cells working normally and you lost your stress-related Insulin resistance-- thus explaining your now normal sugars/ hga1c.
