Consultation time: Your question is confusing. Most kids with a diaphragmatic hernia will die if it is not repaired within the first days after birth. If your kid has a minimal hernia & survived >2yrs, a consultation with a pediatric surgeon located in a major medical center would be advised. If the terminology is confusing and your kids hernia has nothing to do with his breathing muscle, other rx may be indicated.
