A member asked:

Is there an association between anxiety and panic attacks and epilepsy?

Yes: Anxiety and panic attacks can sometimes bring on a seizure in people with very severe seizure disorders. Seizures can also cause anxiety and panic symptoms either right before the seizure or after the seizure is over. It's best to see a neurologist and a neuro-psychiatrist for treatment. I hope this answer helped.

Not directly: Anxiety and panic attacks do not cause seizure disorder. However, anxiety can be a precipitating factor for seizures and pseudoseizures.
