Absolutely: Cervical spine issues can cause the symptoms you describe. It all depends on the level of the nerve root(s) involved. However, the most common causes of your symptoms include carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger. See you primary care physician or hand surgeon for a complete evaluation. You may also need to see a neurologist and spine surgeon.

Possibly: Yes, the nerves that supply your hand run through the neck and compression in the neck can therefore cause hand pain and/or numbness. The other main cause is a problem in the hand itself. Don't hesitate to be seen. A nerve conduction test can be helpful as well.
