It depends: It depends on what kind of pain , dull , constant, provoked or throbbing pain, you have to be more clear, if you can stand it and control it with over the counter pain killers, it may be ok to wait, if not and your gums or cheeks are swollen, you may be having an infection and you will need to see someone right away. Call your dentist at home, he has your history and ask him if you could wait.

Impossible to answer: A clinical evaluation and an xray will answer that question. Pain may go away or can get much worse. If you still have time try not to get in an airplane and visit your dentist.
