Call your doctor: He could have hand-foot- and mouth, a viral illness that does go away on its own, but causes painful ulcers in the mouth and throat, and sometimes a rash. However, strep throat can cause the tongue to look white (strawberry tongue- white with dots on it), and strep throat can cause stomach pain. You don't always have a sore throat. Strep throat can be serious, and requires medicine from a doctor.

See pediatrician: I suspect strept. Kids often relay throat pain as a stomach ache. Would need antibiotics.
