Long time: The bone takes 6 to 10 weeks to unite with new bone. The tissue surrounding the heel inculding the fat skin Small nerve endings tendons and muscle take much longer to heal. Patients may see improvement in there condition for 1 year to 18 months after injury. Many patients with calcaneal fractures experience a degree of discomfort and disability for a long period of time. Its a difficult injury
