Not recommended: I would have this condition treated as soon as possible. The longer the condition is allowed to persist the more complications can occur.

You should not wait: The antibiotics suppress or kill the infection but do not address the real, ause of the infection, which is the tooth that needs to be removed. Cannot predict for how long the suppression will last. If it returns, the infection may not responded to the antibiotics. Your best course of action is to follow the dentist's recommendation and act without further delay.

Possibly: If the abscess establishes a drain for itself, it will then become dormant for a period of time and, usually, be free of symptoms until it can be treated. Antibiotics, if of the proper type, can help in this transitional period.

Go to Endodontist.: 3 months of antibiotics is way to long. Stay on the antibiotics for 10 days and stop. If you are pain free, wait. However most likely the pain will return. If this happens, get back on the antibiotics but take the long drive to the endontist asap.
