What causes enlarged ovaries to occur?

Ovarian cysts: Physiologic cysts (normal occurring) are the most common cause of enlarging ovaries. Women with pcos are also often told they have enlarged ovaries. These are the most common causes and the are both non cancerous (benign). There are many other causes both benign and malignant.
