Nerve irritation: It could be nerve irritation, perhaps from disk herniation or bone spur. The irritated nerve is giving you pain and abnormal sensations. If it does not settle down with time (try over the counter pain medicine too), talk to your primary doctor. You could also consider urgent care for assessment.
