Only not controlled: Hydrocephlus is a condition that can build up pressure in the brain. If pressure builds up, the veins on the head and neck may dilate and be more visible. If the pressure is well controlled, the veins will be normal. You need to get a thorough evaluation to be sure the shunt is working well and no pressure problem has developed.
