Yes: Cerivcal stenosis may cause headaches, neck pain or upper back pain, but upper back pain is commonly caused by arthritis or muscles (myofascial pain). This type of pain may respond well to physical therapy, heat, anti-inflammatories, steroid injections or radiofrequency ablation (rfa) treatments. I would recommend discussing it with your doctor. Good luck!

Neck pain: Yes but there are many reasons for neck pain, (facet, muscle) classically multilevel cervical stenosis causes myelopathy a condition causing hand dysfunction, balance difficulty and incontinence. Surgery for neck pain alone in general terms is not very effective. I would try core strength pilates, pain management, epidural injections with possible referral to a spine specialist if all fails.
