Cervical stenosis: This is the narrowing of the spinal canal in the cervical spine (your neck). This can have serious nervous sytems effects at or below the area that is narrowed.

When the actual : Size of the spinal canal is too small to accommodate the spinal cord in the cervical spine. This can be related to the diameter or cross sectional area of the spinal canal and it can also involve the neuroforamen or only involve these structures which are the regions of the spine where the nerves exit.
