A member asked:

Dr. treated a sunspot with liquid nitrogen. how successful is this? is there a chance of scarring? can i try other remedies if this doesn't work?

Can work great . . .: Or it can leave a scar! liquid nitrogen non-selectively freeze-kills tissue, hopefully only the abnormally-pigmented ones in your "sunspot" case. Lentigos, freckles, and similar sun-induced spots can be treated with liquid n2, laser, ipl, or other methods, but should not be excised (scar). However, all of the previous techniques can leave a scar if overzealously utilized. I would use a ktp laser!

Very successful: Will very likely result in a small scar. Laser also works, without the scarring.

Yes: Usually very successful and rarely results in significant scarring. Certainly one can move on to trying other solutions if this is not successful.
