Will freckles nitrogen treatment scar skin?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Marguerite Barnett
41 years experience in Plastic Surgery
It can: Liquid nitrogen is sometimes used to freeze off freckles by killing the pigmented cells. Any injury can cause a scar if it is deep enough so be sure you get someone who is careful and has experience to do this treatment. You could end up with a white spot instead of a freckle!
