A member asked:

I was advised by a doctor on here that cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) is not used for the removal of sun spots. ive been told by a board certified dermatologist that it is 1 option. any dermatologists know the facts? im getting conflicting info. ty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Liquid nitrogen applications are at~ negative 320 degrees F making is quick & effective in freezing some tissues (like regular warts) but hard to control for thin lesions like sunspots. Even brief applications can go well past the depth of such spots and cause a noticeable scar.
