Ask your doctor: The doctor who looked at vocal cords may be able to recommend a medicine for this problem. Start by asking your doctor. Otherwise, see a GI specialist.

Discuss: It is important to discuss with your specialists. If you have gastric reflux all the way to your airway, you may require more care then just acid reduction. Medications may alleviate the acid injury to your esophagus and vocal chords. But, there still remains risk of aspirating the "non-acidic" substances reaching your airway and vocal chords.
