TOFU, beans, spinach: If you are still eating dairy products, protein is easily found in milk, cheese and eggs. You can also find high levels of protein in vegetables such as beans/lentils, nuts and tofu!

Beans, nuts: Beans are the best thing to get protein. Also nuts. Tofu is also good. Don't worry about getting "enough" protein. It's a big myth in the U.S. That people don't get enough protein. It's all from the meat industry. If you are otherwise healthy with no chronic illnesses, you will not get deficient in protein.

Hard being veggie...: It's hard being a good vegetarian. It's not just about eliminating meat. Protein can come from beans, dairy and some grains, but you need to research how to make a complete protein for proper absorption. Making a complete protein takes combining different sources of incomplete proteins to make them complete.

Whey is best!: The two best 11-12 oz protein drinks that are 100% whey are premium protein (costco/sam's/walmart) that has 30 g of protein in 11.2 oz, and protein plus (23 g in 12 oz). Both are 100% whey and are loaded with vitamins. Drink alone and/or make a smoothie!

I heard our bodies only absorb about 25 grams of protein every one or two hours. Does that mean if i eat more than that, then it's a waste?

Dr. Brett Spain answered

Not a waste: It's not a waste insofar as your body will process the excess protein into fat, and store it this way.
