1-2 hours: Depending on what exactly has to be done. If grafts have to be harvested, etc. It takes longer.

1-2 hours variably: Not all maltracking surgery for patellar malalignment and/or instability is the same. Various surgical options are routinely considered. Proximal realignment options include medial reefing, lateral release, and mpfl reconstruction. Distal options include an osteotomy of the tibial tubercle. The duration of surgery is directly related to how many of the options are included in your surgical plan.
