Nocturnal asthma...: Nocturnal asthma means the person has symptoms of asthma at night. Symptoms include shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing, etc. These symptoms can have an acute onset and can awaken the person from sleep or can interfere with falling asleep so the person cannot fall asleep. This can be treated so see your doctor if you are having these symptoms.
