Depends: Sometimes a small bedtime snack free from a lot of sugar or chocolate can help get to sleep. A moderate size meal should be eatn at least 2-3 hrs before bedtime. Avoid large meals right before bedtime as this can disrupt sleep by triggering acid reflux.

Intake before : Retiring. I agree with dr. Varghese. Additionally - avoid large amounts of liquids, caffeinated beverages or significant amounts of alcohol. Chamomile can help to lull to sleep. Take care.
