Depends: Dermarollers at home should be used cautiously as strict sterility should be maintained to avoid infections . Typically they are not painful because of limited depth. When used in a medical office, we use only single use items to avoid cross contamination. The items sold on the internet are very shallow and will not produce any significant skin changes.
