How can i whiten my teeth after years of smoking?

See a dentist: A dentist can recommend various whitening methods for teeth. Healthtap currently does not have dentists as medical experts. Thanks for using healthtap!

Office whitening: Teeth can be chemically whitened after they are professionally cleaned. First, a dental cleaning is essential prior to whitening. Over the counter systems are not as predictable as in-office whitening. Continued use of tobacco and other staining substances (coffee, tea, red wine) shortens how long the result will last. Must maintain at least monthly, so not a permanent outcome.

Tooth whitening: First, stop smoking, second, see your dentist and get some professional whitening.
