Obesity and the Gut: Obesity affects digestive system by: 1) gastric reflux or heartburn from belly pressure. The acid reflux can cause asthma and even cancer in the esophagus (rarely), 2) fatty liver from obesity can cause cirrhosis in a few, 3) when diabetes arises from obesity, you can see delayed stomach emptying with vomiting.

Many diseases : Many different digestive diseases are associated with obesity like acid reflux, esophagitis, hiatal hernias, malabsorbtion, gall bladder diseases ..... And many other diseases.
