It varies: There is no magic number of carbohydrates per day needed to lose weight. Instead focus on eating small frequent meals with a mixture of nutrients at each meal. Your carb choices should be healthy carbs--whole grains especially-- and as a general rule should make up about one quarter to one third of your plate.

Carb cycling diet: Combine a low-carbohydrate diet with an attempt to restore muscle glycogen and still reap the benefits of ketosis. This involves consuming as close to 0 carbohydrates as possible throughout the week, then following intense workout eating lots of
carbohydrates- reg 30 percent protein, 65 percent fat and 5 percent carbohydrate cycle with 30 percent protein 5 percent fat and 65 percent carbohydrates.
