A member asked:

Does diet affect your brain health?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: A poor diet will lead to lack of appropriate nutrients for your brain. In addition, too much fat and cholesterol can block up the arteries in your brain causing a stroke - the same process as a heart attack. Since the purpose of eating is to provide needed nutrients and all parts of your body need these nutrients, a poor diet will affect every part of your body.
