I have been smoking for since 4 yrs.........and not had chest x-ray.would my chest x-ray normal? chest x ray

Yes: A baseline cxr is important for comparison with future cxr's there is no way to know if it will be normal until it is done. It is inexpensive so do it, get a copy of images and the radiology report to keep for any problems in future. Stop smoking!

Dirty lungs: Usually smoking appears on chest radiograph as prominent central markings which can also be seen in viral infection, reactive airway disease, and inhaling polutants. Interstitial changes, increased small lines, in lungs occurs as part of dirty lung in smokers. Some lungs are affected more than others
