Unlikely: It will be very unlikely to have swallowing difficulty due to thyroid enlargement unless it's significant. Check with your doctor first to see if thyroid testing is warranted.

See your doctor: Could be an obstruction in the back of the throat or lack of saliva. But the thyroid gland definitely will also be examined. See your doctor for an evaluation.
