Hard to test: The best way to know what is in your carpet is to review independent tests of the manufacturer’s products. It is expense to personally pay to have your carpet analyzed. Try going to the Environmental Working Group to find out more - https://www.ewg.org/search/site/Carpet

No easy way but:: Virtually all carpets (and their adhesives) emit toxic fumes, some more than others. The biggest factor is how recently it was installed as much higher levels are emitted in the first few weeks after installation, but low levels can be emitted for years; the health effects will be subtle unless you are very sensitive.Consider HEPA filters or replacing with rugs.See https://tinyurl.com/ya7vowk5
