Looking glass: That is a very intellectual question however not simple to answer in a box. Those surrounded by a negative environment are not destined to engage in those negative actions if they have the capacity for self control, coping mechanisms. You can never control other people but you can control your reaction. One can argue that people can be pushed to violence or negative thinking by their environment
