Tinnitus not normal: Although it is common. It is also generally not a sign of anything serious. You should get your hearing tested, as tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is usually associated with hearing loss. See your ENT and protect your ears against noise damage with ear plugs in a noisy environment. Best wishes.

It may be: Tinnitus is defined as sound that you hear that is not present in the environment around you. You are describing tinnitus which is extremely common. New onset tinnitus should be evaluated by an ENT doctor with an examination including formal hearing testing.
