Skin infection : When there are red and raised areas on the palms and soles it could be a fungal infection that started with the feet that spread to the hands from touching the feet. Warts can be asymptotic and can be on both the palms or the soles. Hyperhidrosis or really sweaty palms and soles can be another cause. At 14, alot of changes going on, hormonal effects can play a roll as well. Take him to see his dr.
