How does valium affect the heart blood pressure?

Lowers BP: Valium as a tranquilizer will reduce the output of adrenaline and other hormones which will cause blood vessels to vasodilate and lower the pulse rate. These two effects will combine to reduce bp. Valium and all tranquilizers are controlled substances with a high adddictive potential and when combined with other medications , certain medical conditions or alcohol, can supress breathing.
