A member asked:

Is all insomnia the same? are there different kinds of insomnia, or is it all basically the same thing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Disorders of sleep,: Commonly called insomnia, include many types. Initial insomnia - getting to sleep; middle insomnia - staying asleep; terminal insomnia - waking early; nightmares & night terrors; circadian rhythm disorders - sleeping at the "wrong" time; sleep walking; sleep apnea; etc. Different disorders require different solutions. Talk to a sleep specialist.
